I have been in a blah mood last night and today. I'm afraid that I was a major moron and spoke without thinking, as I am known to do. I think I hurt a friend's feelings and I really hope my idiocy didn't ruin what I think could be a great friendship. Anyway, I felt horrible and have been melancholy since then. Then today, I spoke with another friend and have begun to cheer up some. It's nice to have friends in world. I hope my tendency to really step in it doesn't run them all off. Anyway, I hope you like this look. The sim is absolutely stunning, but watch out. Some of the people I ran into were less than friendly. Not sure if they were locals or exploring, but I almost had to kick some ass. :-)

I read about a website called Picnik on another blog and thought I might check it out. I don't really know much about computer software or how to make snazzy photographs, so the description of this site sounded right up my alley. And it is. I can understand it! Look what I did. To computer techies, I know this isn't a big deal. But, to me, who is very much the computer illiterate, I'm psyched.

I have fallen in love. I am head-head-over-heels, rose-colored-glasses, stupid in love.....with my new cabin! I adore it. It is me. I feel at home for the first time in sl. Not only the cabin, but the location, the weather, everything about it. And, it is now tres chic to boot as I went hog wild at the PopArt 1L furniture sale. That was the most fantastic sale I have been to yet. I did adore the Aoharu sale, but come on a single linden for wonderful, scripted furniture. Hog Heaven! Now, this pic was done prior to my furniture buying spree, so none of the furniture in the pic is PopArt. The chair and the light are Rocket Creations. If you haven't hauled yourself to PopArt, I highly suggest you do so. You will not be disappointed. If anything you will be poor but nicely decorated like moi.

Maybe I am eyeing those doughnuts...what's it to ya? LOL When I put on this dress, I felt very retro, very vintage. I love the look of this outfit. Very ladylike, but sex appeal out the wazoo too. Just my style. I thought the setting of a 50's diner was way appropriate. Now, an ultra hot T-Bird and some tunes and I'd be all set.

I have a serious question for you...when did butt cleavage become sexy? I'm not talking in the privacy of your own home. I know asses have always been sexy there. But, I'm not a big fan of everyone walking around with their ass cracks on display. How is showing absolutely everything you have alluring? What happened to titillation? The sensual nature of thinking you see something when you don't? The desire so strong for another person that you simply have to know what they look like naked. How can anyone have that for another when everything is already on display? There is something to be said for the tease, the chase, the conquering, knowing you've seen something not everyone else has. Maybe it's just me. It's not that I don't own clothing like this. It's very difficult in second life not to. But, I prefer to wear clothing that draws you in and makes you wonder.

The Ensemble:

So easy, so brilliant. I don't know why every hair designer doesn't do this. It is beyond awesome and I will be a regular customer of this wonderful hair store. Check them out!)

Skull & Bones Stronghold BC322 Work Boots Dr. Murders (okay, must gush...these are one of the best purchases I have made on sl. For a little over 400L you get 11 color options. And they have a resizer, so you can make them fit your feet, thus unisex. I am in total love with these boots.)

You know something that is really cool about second life? You can travel while at home. I know it's not the same thing. But, for someone like me who has never traveled extensively, it's an interesting way to get a glimpse of somewhere else. Okay, what is the deal with bloggers sharing one brain? Wearing the same outfits I can understand. We look for good deals, freebies, some of you get review copies that are the same as others...I understand this. What I don't understand is how several of us have ended up in the same places. When I started this blog, which was only a few weeks ago, I didn't see as many photographs highlighting spots/sims as I have lately. I thought it would be a beneficial thing to do for anyone reading this (if anyone is) to see some places in sl they might not have otherwise known about or taken the time to visit. This past week I have seen on the blogs (and trust me I read a bunch of them) many of us photographing the same locals. Eerily so too. There is one today where the photograph looks very, very close to one that I took. I have not published this photograph yet, and mainly I only mention this, because I don't want to put my photos up later and be accused of copying. I make my ensembles, find locations and take my photographs days in advance. I like to have several posts ready in case something in real life prevents me from getting the next day's post ready. So, I am inspired by my fellow bloggers, but I would never intentionally steal an idea from them, let alone copy it outright and post it where their blog is also fed. Anyway, I just wanted that out there. I feel better now.
On to the clothing...

(Oh, btw, if you haven't gone to the Anexx/Aoharu 50% off sale, run, sprint, fly yourself down there. OMG all of my lindens are gone, but I am a very happy and well dressed girl!)

Okay, it must be asked...why do people feel the need to make their avi 8 feet tall? What is up with that? My guess is that not wanting to look short, everyone adjusted the height of their avi to be more in line with everyone else. Well, then someone (some guy, oh come on, you know it was) decided they wanted to be just a bit taller than everyone else. Well, the others (other guys) decided that just wouldn't do and made themselves just a little taller, etc. etc. etc. The women now looking like Lilliputians by comparison, adjusted their height. And now you have 8 feet tall avis. My avi is a "modest" 5'10" without heels. I was at a store that had a popular midnight mania board today and in the crowd I looked like a child avi. I hate child avis, so this really pissed me off. However, I do not want to have to adjust myself (lol) to be freakishly tall. So, I have a least one petite shape. My other shape I use frequently is curvier, but still way under the "norm" in terms of height. So...if you see a female avi that comes up to your navel and is not a child, there is a good chance that is me. Say hi!

Also, just as a public service announcement and because my post was about height...let's take a look at the word shall we: H-E-I-G-H-T There is not a second H on the end of this word; therefore, you do not make the th sound at the end of this word. Try it again...end it in a hard T (t, t, t) good.

I went to the grand opening of a fantastic club last night. ONe is an intimate setting where you feel completely welcome and comfortable. Teo Ghost the friendly (and hot) owner personally greeted me and each and every person I saw come into the club. The patrons were fun, making me feel I had been invited to a party instead of a nameless face in the crowd. And the music...so fantastic. I personally love indie/alternative and Teo, who DJed most of the time I was there, was playing excellent tunes. I even took notes of the bands played so I could download the songs. Seriously awesome. If you are looking for a welcoming, friendly, amazingly fun club with killer music, then I can't recommend ONe enough.

A fellow blogger has asked us to tell you about our addictions. Well, first and foremost let's state the obvious and say that I am addicted to Second Life. I know we're suppose to mention items in world that we are addicted to, but the entire sl experience is very seductive. It can be an escape from real life. It can serve as a social or creative outlet. The clothes usually fit and can be changed on a whim. You can change hair texture, color, length, and style at the touch of a button. Want to be a man one day a woman the next? No problem. Change ethnicity? All you need is to purchase a skin. Always wanted to have a mountain cabin? Now it is yours. Bigger breasts, smaller nose, the look you choose doesn't require plastic surgery, exorbitant amounts of money or recovery time. A few seconds rez time and you are as you wish to be. The player is in control. It is an alluring place where you can be anyone you choose, look any way you desire, posses skills and knowledge perhaps not otherwise gained. And that can be very addicting.

How fun is this!? I found a little park with all these great kiddie pieces of playground equiptment. Well, I HAD to try them out. These tires were a blast. It would be a wonderful place to come on a date for an innocent, playful, get-to-know-you-better experience. Keep in mind the area is PG, so cover your bits and pieces and no hanky-panky at the park. Save that for when you get home.

I am completely and totally sorry. I don't have much info today on the designers of these pieces. Yeah, I know, then why blog them. Well, cuz this is a fun and cute picture that's why. Today's post is different in two ways. Firstly, it's later than normal for me to post it. I, uh, kind of got caught up in the Shoes & Accessories Hunt. OMG, there are soooo many stores participating. The items are free. And HELLO, shoes. Need I say more really? Didn't think so. Secondly, I am using a shot of me that is more close up. I try to allow you to see both the skin, eyes, hair, and the complete outfit right down to my toes, so that you get the full effect I was going for and hey...I LOVE to read blogs, see some things I might not have otherwise. So, that is my usual m.o., but today, today ladies and gents, the skin is the star. I HAD to show a closer view of this impeccable, stunning, glorious skin. Yes, I like it. I received a gift from &Bean and liked the skin, but was thrown by the dual toned lips. Wasn't something I could really pull off as my everyday, hunting, shopping, look. So, I went to the &Bean store and looked around. It's quaint. And the way they display the skin choices is really cute. Each face is in a flower. I know, little things please me. So, I purchased this skin (and let's be honest, I've purchased a lot lately and will do so again when lindens allow). I put it on, and could not stop staring at myself. Like, literally camming to look at my face. It is so smooth and dewy and natural. I'm not a heavily made-up look type of gal for everyday, so it's really just what I like for an everyday look. And youthful. Some skins look more mature to me. Nothing wrong with that and some times in some situations I don't want to look too young. But with this skin, I found myself beautiful. And that friends is worth any amount of money.

I just love the juxtaposition between today's conservative outfit and the feel of wild abandon of this location. I'm crazy about today's outfit. I'm completely covered, look prim and proper, yet to me, it has major sex appeal. Maybe it's a naughty librarian vibe I'm getting, not sure. But I have found yet another designer that I adore. And don't even get me started on the ankle boots. Too, too fabulous for words. The detail of these pieces boggles my mind. I took a class on beginner clothes making. Holy hell! I don't know how these designers do it. I mean really. Such minute details and realism. People, we should worship the ground these stellar designers walk on.

Just felt kind of contemplative today. I keep trying to find new and unique locations to photograph and somehow I have ended up on the same wavelength as fellow bloggers. This is purely coincidental, as I had this picture taken days ago just waiting for its turn. I'm finding some really cool areas of sl. Check them out if you get the chance.

Also, thinking of adding a new feature to the blog. I've been seeing some wonderfully put-together guys and gals. I thought about snapping their picture and highlighting some every-once-in-a-while. Still thinking about it, so we'll see...

Talk about a fashion experiment! I found this great place called Jenny's Nightmare on Dark Sin. You can burn at the stake, explore the gallows, or walk through a creepy old house full of dangerous surprises. There are some morbidly funny things too. If you tend to click on things that tell you not to like I do, be prepared.

As far as the fashion goes...my dress and black pumps combined were a total of 1L. That's right, 1L. If you haven't ever shopped at Multiple Personality Designs (MPD), then do yourself a favor and get on down there. Single outfits are 1L (usually including shoes), fatpacks downstairs are 5L and the ones upstairs are 3L. Bargain! I admit, I went a little crazy.

On a tip from a friend (thank you Raven), I went shopping at BareRose the other day. Whoa! I had been there for freebies before, but evidently, I hadn't taken the time to look around, because oh my! Tons, and I mean tons, of clothes for both guys and girls. And talk about a steal. Complete outfits for an average of 150L. And they have theme outfits, too. I need to work on my photography skills. And patience apparently, because I don't think I waited for everything to rezz completely in this sim before taking the picture. The area is quite beautiful, but I was experiencing lag like you wouldn't believe. Anyway...I changed myself up a bit. Pretty much new everything today. I'm a skin whore, so I had to use a different one. I love the dimple on this one's cheek. It's subtle, but present. Love it! The outfit today was all inclusive. That's right. I've been to two really great clubs in as many days. The first, The Nether, is a really laid back, very comfortable club. Last night, and into this morning, the music was a great mix with an indy/alternative bent. My personal fave. Friendly people, great music, hot owner, who could ask for anything more! The second club, oceana, is very cool. This club is actually located underwater with a, you-guessed-it, underwater theme. Today, the music was techno, one of my other faves. That beat always gets my booty moving. I had to wear something appropriate. So, I selected this cute white dress. It comes with a hoodie attachment that can be worn in three ways: up, down, or off. And the dress came with the hot black boots. I must confess, yes, I wore it to both clubs. I hadn't gone to bed from the first club when I was invited to the second! If you're looking for some new clubs to check out, I highly recommend these two.

I'm doing this post tonight, because sl will be all wonky in the morning. I was recently at this cute little store called Fallen Style following a freebie lead. Well, it turns out due to sl weirdness, the freebie box was only handing out the landmark. Because of this and knowing there would be great demand for the freebie (hello, it was a skin after all) one of the store owners was there to give each customer the free gift. Not only that, he went out of his way to show me the other free items in the store (skins, shapes, t-shirts, oh my). I bought a few items from the dollarbie section for now, but I will totally go back when I have the lindens. And yes, this awesomely funny "kick me" t-shirt was in the dollarbies section. Show Fallen Style some linden love on your next shopping venture because good customer service is worth it's weight in linden.

As for the ensemble, I just had to find a school-themed area to fully showcase the t-shirt. I mean come on?! Too perfect, right? First, I attempted to return to high school. But, I was denied access unless I wanted a trial membership to the school. Uhh, no thanks. So, I finally stumbled upon a teacher supply store on Naughty Nibbles Isle. Not understanding the need for child avatars in sl, I don't really have a need for the teaching supplies, but the store came in useful when I cammed upstairs and found the row of full-length lockers. Then, I was all set. Well, as long as no one gives me any math homework.

All land lubbers must walk the plank, arggg....

Yes, I know, but I put on this outfit and felt like a pirate. I found the perfect setting in Black Spot Shipyard. There are many ships, docks and lands to explore. Or better yet, bring a friend and some poseballs and act out your pirate fantasies. I'll let y'all decide who's captain. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Balck%20Spot/213/212/25/?title=Black%20Spot

Btw, I am trying to incorporate slurls today thanks to a tip from a lovely blogger. Thank you! So, hopefully, I am successful and these work. If not, well, for now, keep looking them up. Thanks!

Was feeling a little punky, a little bad ass today. I was looking for a setting with an urban feel and found it in City of Lost Angels. I also found a noob who wanted to be my slave and act like a dog. I told him to sit and stay and I teleported away. I mean really...

I was feeling rather studious in this outfit and found the most wonderful setting at Dr. Faust Bookstore. It really is warm and cozy with lush leather seating and a warm fireplace. So cozy. And to be surrounded by books is my heaven.

Because, well, I thought I looked out of this world....lol
I headed to the International Space Flight Museum in world. Really cool to walk around, see the space crafts and you can even take a tour. Fun and educational, just as every good field trip should be.

Still catching up with my ensembles. The second of my New Year's Day outfits. This picture takes us to the zoo in Neunkirchen Saar. Loads of photo ops here and a quaint, fun outing. Would be great for an sl date. Just ask the elephants.

So, evidently, I am judgemental. Which is weird, because on some things I am very, very liberal. I am however, without question against sl child avitars. What the hell is that about? I don't get it. I don't mean to say people don't have the right to come to sl and be and do anything they want (within reason and law), but come on...it's creepy. Maybe they have never experienced family closeness and want to be adopted? Maybe they don't want to have to carry on an articulate adult conversation with others? I don't know. But, if you ask me, people should grow up.

Now on to the fashion. This photo actually depicts one of my New Year's Day outfits. I wanted to look nice, but be casual enough for shopping. I am in Indo Paradise, which is just lovely if you haven't been there. And I know, I know, you could more easily get there if I could figure out how to add slurs to my blog. Don't nag, I'm working on it. I just wanted to get up-to-date with my daily fashion.

Hopefully, you see a picture of me above this post. If not, well then hell's belles. Now, I just have to figure out how to add slurs and I'm on my way. I'm on location in Rouge Forest. Is it not just Divine? And I must say, it coordinates rather nicely with my ensemble. I could hear the howls of wolves in the distance as I took my pictures. Perhaps one of them was Jacob?!

Okay, well now I can't find the file I saved all of my outfit information under. Once I find it I'll let you know all the designers, etc. However, I won't be letting you know three things: 1) My skin (I simply ADORE/AM IN LOVE WITH this skin, and feel it is so well done. I want to give the designer credit, but I don't want thousands of me on the grid, so I'm keeping that to myself. 2) My shape. Again, it is the most fabulous shape. I love being curvy and it is perfectly proportioned, but nope, not gonna tell ya. And 3) My eyes. They are the window to my sl soul and complete me. I have sooo many others, but haven't been able to change out of these. So, sorry, but those three things are for me to know and you never to find out. I will however, try out new skins, etc. and will post the info on those, just not these as this is the real me.

A Learning Process.....

Let me be frank, I don't know what the hell I'm doing. I will figure it out though, so just bear with me. I'm learning how to take photographs, control the damn camera without veering off miles past myself, you get the idea...

I have a few pictures I'd love to post, once I understand how to do that. Maybe I should have researched how to do all this prior to starting a blog, but what fun would that have been. So....eventually, I will delight you with beautiful clothing and fabulous me.
